I’m so thrilled to have gotten my hands on the エムアイシー M.I.C. – Slam Dunk – One and Only Takenori Akagi Figure! As a die-hard fan of the timeless basketball manga, SLAM DUNK, I couldn’t resist adding this figure to my collection. The attention to detail in sculpting and painting is impeccable, thanks to the supervision of the original author Yuhiko Inoue. I love how each member of the Shohoku High School Basketball Club is faithfully reproduced in their uniform form, making it feel like I have my own team right at home!
I never thought I’d be able to own a figure of one of my favorite characters from SLAM DUNK, but here we are! The protagonist Basketman “Sakurakihanado” looks even more badass in this figure form. And let’s not forget about the famous General of the whole national city, (C) Koukori Akagi. He looks ready to take on any opponent with his intense expression and towering height. The packaging also adds a fun touch with its basketball shoe box design. It’s definitely a unique addition to my collection.
I may not be as skilled on the basketball court as these characters from SLAM DUNK, but at least I can admire them in figure form! The 3-point shooter (GF), highly restorated 3-point shooter (GF), and lifelong rival of Hanado, Super Rookie (FW) “Riyota”, all look incredible with their digitally printed faces and detailed sculpting. Plus, at a total length of 6.3 inches (160 mm), this figure is easy to display and collect without taking up too much space. As a huge fan, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase from M.I.C.!
